Revitalising celery juice

Celery juice is a star of the wellness world. Whilst it won't perform miracles, it is unbeatable for hydration: rich in natural electrolytes (sodium, potassium), it hydrates better than plain water. The cucumber and apple take away celery's sometimes intrusively earthy taste.

Instructions

1

Wash the vegetables thoroughly. Trim the ends of the celery. Cut everything to a size that fits the machine's feeder.

Tip: Use cold vegetables (from the fridge), because juicing can generate heat, and lukewarm vegetable juice is not tasty.
2

Juice the celery, cucumber, apple and ginger alternately.

Tip: Alternating helps the harder apple to 'push' the more fibrous celery through the machine.
3

Stir in the lemon juice and drink immediately.

Tip: The Vitamin C in the lemon juice slows oxidation and freshens the taste.

Recipe FAQ

How long can it be stored?
No time at all. After juicing, oxidation immediately begins to break down vitamins and flavours. Drink within 15 minutes!
