- Can I use frozen fruit?
- Yes, absolutely! Frozen fruits act as 'ice cubes' and as they melt, they continuously release their juice and colour.
Summer berry cider punch
Classic apple cider is a great base, but when it meets the treasures of the forest, a true flavour bomb is born. The tannin content and acidity of red berries add depth to the drink, while the sight of them floating in the glass immediately evokes summer picnics. A simple way to turn an everyday drink into something festive.

Instructions
1
✓
Hull the strawberries and cut them into quarters. Place a few pieces of strawberry and blackberry at the bottom of the glass.
Tip: Chopping fruit increases surface area, allowing more flavour to dissolve.
2
✓
Gently press the fruits at the bottom of the glass with a muddler, just enough to release some juice.
Tip: You don't need to puree them, just break the flesh so the cider can take on their colour and flavour (extraction).
3
✓
Fill the glass with ice, scatter the remaining whole fruits (including blueberries) on top.
Tip: Layering makes the drink look beautiful and spectacular.
4
✓
Top up with cider, garnish with mint sprigs, and serve.
Tip: Let it stand for 1-2 minutes before consuming so the cider takes on the colour of the berries.
