- Why is it frothy?
- Blending introduces air into the drink. Fibres stabilise the foam. If it bothers you, let it stand for a minute or use a vacuum blender.
- How long does it keep?
- Consume immediately! Oxidation causes the colour to brown and vitamins (especially Vitamin C) to degrade.
Vibrant green spinach smoothie
A smoothie is more than just blended fruit: it is 'mechanical chewing'. The high-speed blades break down plant cell walls (cellulose), making vitamins and minerals much easier for the body to absorb. The taste of the spinach is completely masked by the fruits, making this the simplest way to intake raw greens.

Instructions
1
✓
Pour the liquid (almond milk) into the bottom of the machine.
Tip: This way the blades catch the solid pieces more easily and a vortex is formed.
2
✓
Add the spinach, then the chopped fruits and the ice.
Tip: The ice cools the drink, which is important because the motor generates heat that could damage vitamins.
3
✓
Add a little lemon juice.
Tip: Citric acid (Vitamin C) prevents the apple from browning.
4
✓
Blend until creamy for about 45-60 seconds.
Tip: It is ready when you no longer see leaf fragments, just a uniform green cream.
